Tour Type: Cultural and Historical
Description: Immerse yourself in the rich history and traditions of the carnival season and discover how Mobile became the birthplace of Mardi Gras. Experience firsthand how it feels to ride a float. See up-close the intricate designs and artistry of the royal robes, crowns and scepters. Witness the pomp and pageantry of the coronation of the past Queens of Mardi Gras. Tours are tailored to the age of the students and to a particular area of study upon request. The Mobile Carnival Museum is located in the historic Bush Bernstein house and the mystical Den is the former carriage room of the house.

(Open on Tuesday and Thursday for groups of 50 or more, with advance reservations)
